I was honored to be a guest on Miss Liz Teatimes, a platform dedicated to meaningful conversations that inspire growth, resilience, and change. In this episode, I joined Miss Liz to discuss “Empowering Kids Through Stories of Diversity, Friendship, and Growth.”

During our conversation, I shared exciting updates about the Harold in the Hood series, along with my new activity book designed to help children strengthen their social-emotional skills through fun and interactive learning. We explored how storytelling can be a powerful tool to teach inclusion, celebrate diversity, and encourage compassion in children everywhere.

As a public school counselor, award-winning author, and creator of the Children Developing Social Skills Through Literacy program, I am passionate about using stories to empower young readers. My books—including The Adventures of Harold from the Hood: A Trip to the Park, Friends Like Different Things, Fun Time Lunch Time, and When I Feel So Annoyed—all reflect this mission.
